Grade TP304 contains approximately 18% chromium and 8% nickel, providing excellent resistance to oxidation and general corrosion.

Manufactured in accordance with ASTM A270 specifications, TP304 tubing is commonly supplied with polished internal and external surface finishes to meet sanitary and hygienic standards. ASTM A270 covers seamless and welded austenitic stainless steel sanitary tubing designed for food, dairy, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries. Although often referred to as “pipe,” the specification technically applies to sanitary tubing.
