Manufactured under ASTM A213 / ASME SA213 specifications, TP316 tubes are widely used in boilers, superheaters, heat exchangers, and process piping systems where superior corrosion resistance and high-temperature strength are required. Although commonly referred to as a “pipe” in trade terminology, ASTM A213 technically covers seamless stainless steel tubes.

Enhanced Chemical Composition
Contains 16–18% chromium, 10–14% nickel, and 2–3% molybdenum. The molybdenum addition significantly improves resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion compared to TP304.

Mechanical Properties (Annealed Condition – Minimum)

Tensile Strength: ≥ 515 MPa
Yield Strength (0.2% Proof): ≥ 205 MPa
Elongation: ≥ 35%
