ASTM A270 TP316 Pipe

The ASTM A270 TP316 pipe is a type of sanitary tubing meant for high performance and made in stainless steel. It can be noted that its ability to resist corrosion, especially when exposed to a chloride environment or any industrial solvent, has been improved. The reason for this enhanced ability is the presence of molybdenum, which is usually found between 2% and 3%, in addition to 16-18% chromium and 10-14% nickel.

● Durability: High strength stability at elevated and reduced temperatures.

● Mechanical Properties: Tensile strength greater than or equal to 615 MPa and yield strength greater than or equal to 245 MPa make it usable in different working conditions.

Applications

This is widely recognised in the pharmaceutical industry, plastic injection moulders, the biotechnology industry, beverages, and food industries, where they are often subjected to strict chemicals or saline solutions. To meet ASTM A270 standards means that it can operate under very safe and pure conditions and all the processes are hygienic.
