ASTM A213 TP304L Pipe

The ASTM A213 TP304L pipe is a low-carbon version of the TP304 grade. The intention of this low-carbon version is to give better weldability and, to some extent, resistance to intergranular corrosion. Its unique properties make it an excellent choice for applications requiring extensive welding or exposure to harsh, corrosive environments.

● Material Composition

The TP304L pipe has a similar composition to TP304 but has a maximum of 0.035% carbon. This allows the resistance to carbide precipitation during welding to be good, effectively avoiding most corrosion problems.

● Improved Weldability

This pipe, with its lowered carbon content, allows for easier welding without the need for post-weld annealing and hence optimises time and resources.

● Corrosion Resistance

TP304L grade has excellent resistance to a wide variety of atmospheric and chemical exposures, thus being resistant in service for many years.

● Mechanical Propertie

With the minimum tensile strength of 485 MPa and yield strength of 170 MPa, this pipe has pretty enough strength for so many industrial applications.
