The ASTM A249 TP316 pipe is a welded austenitic stainless steel tube fabricated with 2.00-3.00% of molybdenum in its composition, providing an enhancement in the resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in the adverse chloride-containing environment. It also provides good strength at elevated temperatures.
